About CamperVolts

CamperVolts is made by a small crew for people wiring their own van, RV or boat. We built the two tools we wished existed: one that sizes every part and every cable from what you actually run, and one that draws it so you can take it to the van.

How we work

• Standards, not vibes. Wire and fuse sizes come from the ABYC E-11 ampacity tables and Blue Sea Systems' fuse guidance. We cite them on the wire gauge chart.
• Conservative by default. When a choice is close, we size up. A thicker cable costs a few dollars; a melted one costs the van.
• Real prices only. We read every price on the maker's own site and print the date. If we can't confirm a price, we leave it out.
• Show the math. The planner prints every assumption so you can disagree with it.

What we are not

We are not your electrician. Our numbers are a solid starting point for 12 V and 24 V DC systems. Anything that touches 120/240 V AC, shore power or a transfer switch should be done, or at least checked, by a qualified installer.
